Kick Ass Texas Beef Jerky (“we,” “us,” “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through texasjerky.org (also reachable at kickasstbj.com), how we use it, and the choices you have. Short version: we collect the minimum needed to sell you jerky and answer your messages, and we never sell your data.

1. Information We Collect

Order information. When you check out, payment is handled by Stripe, Inc. Stripe collects your name, email, phone number, shipping address, and payment details in order to process your payment and let us fulfill your order. We receive your order details and shipping information, but never your full card number. Stripe's handling of your data is described in the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Contact form. When you use our contact form, the name, email address, phone number (if provided), and message you submit are delivered to our email inbox via FormSubmit, a form-forwarding service. We use this information solely to respond to you.

Cart data. Your shopping cart is stored locally in your own browser (localStorage) so it survives page reloads. It never leaves your device until you check out.

2. Cookies & Third-Party Content

We do not run advertising trackers or analytics cookies of our own. Our homepage embeds a feed of our public Facebook posts; when it loads, Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc.) may set cookies or collect data as described in the Meta Privacy Policy. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may collect standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security and performance.

3. How We Use Information

We use your information to process and ship orders, respond to your inquiries, prevent fraud, and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share it only with the service providers named above (Stripe, FormSubmit, Vercel, and shipping carriers such as USPS) to the extent needed to serve you.

4. Data Retention

We keep order records as long as needed for accounting, tax, and customer-service purposes. Contact messages are kept as long as useful for responding to you.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing kickasstbj@gmail.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law; we honor reasonable requests regardless.

6. Children

Our Site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

7. Changes

If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a revised “Last updated” date.
